Method Of Preparation of Medicine
The decoction is prepared using Njavara rice, Pruthuka and kulatha ( horse gram) , laja, tina rice, varaku rice sliced lemon, dry ginger and Ajwain seeds. All these have to be bundled and boiled in water for 7 days and then kept to ferment.
Eighth day onwards the fermented liquid is ready for use. The medicine thus prepared is called Dhyanamlam.

Procedure of Dhyanamla Dhara Treatment Dubai
Purva karma ( pretreatment and procedure)
- Examine the patient carefully before starting the treatment. Prakriti ( body constitution) should be examined carefully.
- Abhyanga can be considered as purva karma for Dhyanamla Dhara.
- Tailam for Abhyanga can be chosen depending on the disease. Eg: Kottamchukkadi, Sahacharadi tailam can be used in kapha prakopa. Dhanwantaram or Mahanarayana tailam can be used in Vata prakopa.
Pradhana karma ( Procedure of Dhara)
Medicated liquid is poured over the body of the patient on both sides simultaneously in a flow. This procedure is conducted for a prescribed duration without interruption. Normal duration is 45 minutes. During the procedure Dhyanamlam should always be warm. The temperature and warmth should be checked before pouring onto the body. At all point of time during the procedure, care should be taken to see that neither the Dhyanamlam nor the body of the patient gets cold. The medicine should always be tolerably hot during the procedure.
Paschat Karma (Post Treatment Procedure)
- After treatment, the person should be allowed to relax for a while.
- The person should avoid cold exposure.
- Avoid cold and over spicy food.
- Consume light lukewarm food.
